Sc. 4695 Larry Doby on a 5"x7" Dragon Card featuring a photo of a bat, ball and glove, plus an inset photo of Doby. The single stamp and the Comiskey Park stamp from the Legendary Playing Fields set (Sc. 3517) are tied by the Cleveland pictorial First Day of Issue postmark. Doby finished his career playing there for the Chicago White Sox, and managed the ChiSox there for part of 1978. There is no Cleveland Municipal Stadium stamp in the Playing Fields set. Great for a baseball-, sports- or black history-on-stamps collection!
