    Schooner postcard

    Dgn 861

Dgn 861: Sc. TBA Schooner postcard — label cachet showing a portion of a luncheon menu for passengers aboard a May 1901 sailing of the Norddeutscher [North German] Lloyd shipping company steamship SS Neckar. The illustration is of a schooner. The back of the menu allowed it to be used as a postcard. In 1914, the Neckar sought refuge in the then-neutral port of Baltimore, but it was seized by the U.S. in 1917, converted to a troop carrier and renamed the Antigone. The Circular Date stamp ties both the indicia and the cachet. — larger illustration (new window)...$3.00

    Boston 2026
    (American Revolution)

Sales for this issue have been incredible. I recently sent 8 of these variations — about 60 additional Cards — for servicing and even before I'd put them in the mail the next morning, more varieties had sold out! That means there will be another shipment to Cancellation Services.

Included in that shipment were Digital Color Postmarks and a new combination. And yes, more with the 1925 stamps. Feel free to put in a non-binding reservation for any of the sold-out or forthcoming varieties.
